The short version: your therapy notes are private. iRecall has no account and no sign-in. Your captures, sessions, and reflections live on your device. Optional iCloud sync goes through your own private iCloud — never through us. We have no backend that can read your notes. We never sell data, never show ads, and never train anything on what you write. You can delete everything at any time.
1. Who We Are
iRecall is developed by Anchori Intel, a sole-trader app studio operated by Stuart McMillan, registered in Australia (ABN 51 277 394 323). Questions about this policy: hello@anchoriintel.com.
2. What iRecall Collects
Nothing on our servers. iRecall has no account, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Your notes — the moments you capture, tags (theme, person, feeling), session details, therapist name, intentions, and post-session reflections.
- Stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData with at-rest encryption.
- If you turn on iCloud sync, synced via Apple's CloudKit in your private iCloud database. Only you can read it. Anchori Intel cannot.
- Never transmitted to any server we control. We have no backend that holds your notes.
3. Microphone & Speech
If you use voice capture, transcription runs on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to iRecall. You grant microphone and speech access only if and when you tap Dictate.
4. Subscriptions
iRecall Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple's App Store. Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status; it receives an anonymous subscriber identifier and your subscription state from Apple — never your notes. We never see your payment details. 5. What We Never Do
- We never sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We never show advertising.
- We never share your notes with a third party.
- We never train an AI model on what you write.
- We never use tracking identifiers (IDFA, ATT prompts).
6. iCloud Sync (CloudKit Private Database)
iCloud sync is off by default. If you enable it, iRecall syncs your notes through Apple's CloudKit private database — your iCloud, not ours. We have no credentials to read it. If you sign out of iCloud or turn sync off, syncing stops and your local data stays on the device.
7. Face ID
If you enable Face ID lock, iRecall uses Apple's local authentication to unlock the app. The biometric check happens entirely on your device; we never receive biometric data.
8. Your Rights
- Delete everything — Settings → Delete all my data. Wipes every capture and session from the device (and your iCloud copy if sync is on).
- Turn off iCloud sync — Settings → iCloud sync.
- Cancel your subscription — manage in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. Contact hello@anchoriintel.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Not a Medical Service
iRecall is a note-taking and preparation tool. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or a crisis service. If you are in danger or considering harming yourself, please reach out now — in Australia, Lifeline on 13 11 14; in the US, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline; or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
10. Children
iRecall is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and note it in the next app update's release notes.
