The short version: Vantik keeps your dashcam footage, your tax logbook and your driving score on your device. If you turn on cloud backup (optional, using Sign in with Apple), your logbook and any locked incident clips are backed up to a secure server so a lost or stolen phone doesn't lose them — and only you can see them. We never sell your data, never build a browsable map of where you drove, and never use your data to train an AI model.
1. Who We Are
Vantik is developed by Anchori Intel, a sole-trader app studio operated by Stuart McMillan, registered in Australia (ABN 51 277 394 323). Questions about this policy: hello@anchoriintel.com.
2. What Vantik Stores on Your Device
By default, everything Vantik records stays on your phone using Apple's on-device storage, with the operating system's at-rest encryption:
- Your logbook — each drive's date, time, duration, distance, whether it was business or private, and any notes you add.
- Dashcam footage — Vantik films the road while you drive. If a hard brake or impact is detected, that clip is saved and locked as evidence. Clips stay on your device unless you back them up.
- Your driving score — calculated on the phone from how smoothly you brake, accelerate and corner. The raw motion data is processed on-device and never transmitted.
Location — if you allow it, Vantik uses your device location on the device to detect when a drive starts and to measure its distance for your logbook. Vantik records the distance; it does not upload your coordinates or route, and it is never shown or stored as a browsable map of where you drove.
3. Cloud Backup (Optional — Vantik Plus)
If you choose to turn on cloud backup, you sign in with Sign in with Apple, and Vantik backs up your record so you don't lose it. This is the only feature that sends data off your device. When it is on, we store:
- Your email address and an account identifier from Sign in with Apple (a private relay address is fine), used only to hold your backup for you.
- Your logbook records (dates, distances, business/private, notes) and your locked incident clips.
This data is stored on our backend provider Supabase, hosted in Australia. It is protected by row-level security so that only your account can read your data. We use it solely to keep your record safe and available to you — we never share it, never sell it, and never use it for advertising. If you don't turn on cloud backup, none of this applies and nothing leaves your phone.
4. What We Never Do
- We never sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We never build a browsable map or history of where you drove.
- We never share your logbook, location, or footage with anyone — you decide who ever sees it.
- We never show advertising, and we never use tracking identifiers (IDFA, ATT prompts).
- We never use your data to train an AI model.
- We don't collect analytics or crash data in this version.
5. Payments
If you subscribe to Vantik Plus, the purchase is handled by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment; Vantik only receives your entitlement status from Apple (via StoreKit) to unlock features. We never see your card or payment details.
6. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Vantik sends occasional reminders (such as a saved incident or a logged drive) generated on your device. Vantik does not use streaks or daily nagging.
7. Sharing You Control
Your record is yours to share on your terms. When you export your tax logbook as a PDF or CSV, you choose where it goes using Apple's standard share sheet. Vantik does not send it anywhere on its own.

9. Your Rights and Control
- Delete everything on your device — Vantik's You tab has a "Delete all my data" button that erases your drives, logbook and clips from your phone.
- Delete the app — removing Vantik removes all of its on-device data.
- Delete your cloud backup — sign out of cloud backup in the app, or email us at hello@anchoriintel.com and we will delete your backed-up data and account.
- Cancel your subscription — manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account subscription settings.
10. Data Retention
On-device data stays on your device until you delete it (or delete the app). If you use cloud backup, your backed-up data is retained until you delete it, sign out and remove it, or ask us to delete your account.
11. Children
Vantik is a tool for adult drivers who drive for work and claim vehicle expenses. It is rated 4+, is not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we change how Vantik handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above.
