The short version: your habits are nobody's business but yours. Mainstay has no account and no sign-in. Your habits, contexts, completions and rhythm history all live on your device. There is no Mainstay server, so we have nothing to read: your data never reaches us. We never sell data, never show ads, and never train anything on you. You can wipe everything at any time.
1. Who We Are
Mainstay (listed on the App Store as “Mainstay Habits”) is developed by Anchori Intel, a sole-trader app studio operated by Stuart McMillan, registered in Australia (ABN 51 277 394 323). Questions about this policy: hello@anchoriintel.com.
2. What Mainstay Collects
Nothing on our servers. Mainstay has no account, no login, and no analytics or tracking SDKs. It makes no network calls to us. Everything you create stays on your device.
Your habits & history — the habits you add, the Focus contexts you assign them to, the days you complete them, and your rolling “rhythm” — are stored locally on your device (in a private app group shared only with the Mainstay widgets and Apple Watch app on the same device).
3. Focus Modes
Mainstay uses Apple’s Focus Filter feature so that turning on a Focus (Work, Personal, Sleep, etc.) surfaces the habits you assigned to it. Which Focus is active, and the context you chose for it, are handled on your device and stored in the local app group. This information is never sent to us or anyone else.
4. Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you connect Health, Mainstay can tick off matching habits automatically. This is read-only and happens entirely on your device.
- With your permission, Mainstay reads workouts, mindful minutes and sleep, only to auto-complete the matching habit.
- Your Health data is never sent to Anchori Intel or any third party. It never leaves your device through Mainstay.
- You can grant or revoke Health access any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. In line with Apple’s rules, Mainstay never uses Health data for advertising or shares it for marketing.
5. Notifications
If you allow notifications, Mainstay schedules an optional daily reminder at a time you choose. These are scheduled on your device by iOS. No push server is involved and no notification content is sent to us.
6. Subscriptions
Mainstay Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly, with a free trial on the yearly plan), sold through Apple’s App Store. Purchases and payments are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. 7. What We Never Do
- We never sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We never show advertising.
- We never share your habits or history with a third party.
- We never train an AI model on your data.
- We never use tracking identifiers (IDFA, ATT prompts).
8. Your Rights
- Delete everything — Settings → Delete All Data. Permanently erases every habit and all history from the device and returns Mainstay to first launch.
- Manage Health access — in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.
- Cancel your subscription — manage in your Apple Account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. Because Mainstay holds nothing about you on any server, most requests are satisfied simply by using the app’s own controls — but you can always contact hello@anchoriintel.com and we will respond within 30 days.
9. Not Medical or Clinical Advice
Mainstay is a habit tool. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have a health concern, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
10. Children
Mainstay is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy materially, we’ll update the date at the top and note it in the next app update’s release notes.
